The Face of the Blog

Over the last couple months I've been toying with Blogger templates. Recently Blogger has also made available a template designer via Blogger InDraft, and I've played with that as well. This is the latest incarnation I'm considering, and I like it quite a bit. There was something I didn't like about the layout when I looked it over last week, but I can't remember what it was any more. I'm sure it'll come back to me.

I'd appreciate your comments on the template. I didn't design it, by the way: it's available here. My original plan was to use a scan or photo of a blank Moleskine journal as my background. I like the idea of keeping the look fairly simple, but I also like the writerly, desktop views like Desktop Chaos. I've also been fairly lazy as regards wanting to make CSS or HTML tweaks lately. And I haven't gotten a good Moleskine picture to use, because my scanner only scans in Windows right now, and ... there's a host of problems in that venue. There's a template called My Moleskine, but it seems overly wide to me. Maybe that's because I'm usually on a widescreen computer and it auto-resizes.

Let me know what you think! And don't be afraid of the scary cat picture on the test blog. The cat is not actually a demon. Usually.

  1. I like that template a lot. I've been toying with the idea of a template change, but also haven't felt much like mucking with CSS changes.
